The “After” phase of making Fig, Peppercorn & Thyme jam.
Cooking the fig, sugar, peppercorn, thyme and lemon mixture for only 1-2 hours, produces translucent, soft figs that can be smeared on bread or used to sweeten other dishes.
The combo of thyme and peppercorn intensifies the natural flavor of the figs, and gives a strong ‘bite’ to the jam.
