by Amit Rabin
My name is Amit Rabin, I am from Israel and living in the Netherlands since 2010. As a former baker I love to bake bread, cakes and several types of pastry, but a few years ago I elevated my food-fetish to a professional level with Roots of Food, a company that develops, organizes and hosts culinary activities.
Roots of Food is based on my belief that cooking becomes much more interesting once you know the stories behind your food. Stories about small family traditions,
about the origin of ingredients or about extraordinary recipes - discovered by accident.
I love sharing these stories through lectures, workshops and culinary consulting. Since I grew up in Israel (one of the richest culinary melting pots in the world) I am experienced with the cuisines of the Mediterranean, Middle-East, Balkan, East & North Europe, Vegetarian and Sustainable styles.
